PEARLS OF ARMENIA

PEARLS OF ARMENIA

According to biblical legend, Noah came down from Mount Ararat, planted the first vine. Thus began the tradition of wine making in Armenia. And recently in a cave near the village of Areni the archeologists have found the oldest wine-growing areas, dated back more than 6000 years. Development of wine-making in Armenia became possible due to favorable natural conditions, the availability of technologically advanced indigenous grape varieties and a thousand-year experience of winemakers.
