Carefully “hidden” in Dilijan, one of the primary tourist destinations in Armenia, Parz Lich (Lake Clear) appears like a yet unpolished diamond surrounded by natural crystals the overall combination of which creates a timeless image. It is located in Dilijan National Park, to the north of the city of Dilijan at the altitude of 1400 meters above sea level. The lake covers an area of 2 hectares and is 5 meters deep, 385 meters long and 85 meters wide. There is no “best time” for visiting lake Parz : it is beautiful any time of the year. The view of lake is stunning in winter, spring, summer and especially in autumn. But no matter which season it is, lake Parz is a heaven for those who love to enjoy peace and silence.
According to the legend, a newly married couple died in this lake. That is why, there is a tradition to go to this lake after wedding ceremony to commemorate the deceased couple.
