The most visited and memorable places in Armenia is Tsitsernakaberd memorial monument dedicated to 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide in 1915. Memorial monument was opened in 1967, becoming an integral part of the architecture and panorama. Today Tsitsernakaberd memorial for victims is not only interesting as of architectural structure, but also a place of pilgrimage, where the Armenians and foreigners living in different parts of the world visit it, to show their respect towards the tribute of the victims. The memorial is on the hill and covers an area of 4500 square meters and consists of three main buildings: the Wall of Remembrance, the “Temple of Eternity”, «Regenerating Armenia» monument.
Since 1995, in the space of memorial enacts the Armenian Genocide Museum, where the scientific and museum archives, library, reading room are located. On the second floor the museum exhibition is located, covering about 1,000 square meters.
